Analysis of data

Trend analysis

Do we decide only based on the average?
A decision based on the average is usually useful to implement decisions that cover the majority, however if the standard deviation is high (data far from the average) it would mean that for some the average solution will not be effective. A sound decision considers both the mean and the standard deviation.
Correlation Analysis
What is the effect of personal characteristics and home environment on academic performance?
The answer to this question would allow informed decisions to be made on how to support and empower students in the development of their personal characteristics, as well as guide the work with parents.
This type of correlation analysis seeks to identify the relationship between one, two or multiple variables.
Important: Correlation is not an indicator of cause

Mixed Trend Analysis

What is the impact of certain talks/workshops/training?
This information makes it possible to identify opinion trends and their reasons. The information is useful to define lines of training and measure its effectiveness. This analysis is based on a mixed method that considers quantitative (surveys, attendance records, test results, etc.) and qualitative (interview) data.
Qualitative analysis
What do we mean by improving professional practices?
It is common that there are different perceptions about a topic. Obtaining information that identifies these perceptions serves to guide and define action guidelines that combine criteria and teams. Data is collected through interviews, observations, case studies, focus groups, professional journals that allow analysis to identify themes and code data. The identified themes create a collective definition.
